💥🪚C4 AND SAWS!💥🪚
Do I need to say more!?
Why sit in a wifi circle when I could just slap some C4 on that door!? I don't want to waste skill points on battering ram skills when it'd be way more visually appealing to blow the door open!
How about those pesky little safes, I like to pick them....but I WANT to blast them open!
All those lockboxes would be no match for a saw! Tell me you've never thanked the heister that brought a saw to the deposit job on Harvest and Trustee in Payday 2...
I need my favorite heisting tools back! Please! I beg you! 🤣🤙
Thank you for your time!

mcmase1212This 100%, just one part of the problem that we don't have a great skill tree right now. There needs to be a way to allow players some diversity in playstayle, right now we have 4 identical heisters on every job.

A skill TREE would force players to invest in a specific playstyle, they would be very strong in that area but weaker in others.
Then you'd have heists where one player brings equipment (C4 and Saws), one player is super tanky and has armor, one controls civs and heals, one brings weapons and ammo.
That should be the goal anyway. -

RickyUsing the Over9000 saw to open lockboxes in loud would be a great alternative to sitting there and picking each box, On top of being able to open atms with ecm jammers and the saw. C4 could be used to open objective doors that you’d have to drill or pick open i.e the security gates on gold and sharke, The game is also missing breaching charges for objectives like being able to breach the room on dirty ice with the sorting machine.

The WhistlerI'd also like to add that I would prefer the saw to be a secondary like in Payday 2. Just make the blade permanently sharp so it's essentially a melee weapon as well as a tool.

Extra points if it deletes dozers, that face shield should be no match for a saw. It's not a drill, but I think Wolf would still approve. 🤣🤙 -

RickyMaybe a miniature saw that takes up the gadget slot could fit nicely.

The WhistlerLet's not forget that Saws could cut QR locks on containers in 99 Horses too! Let's Goooooo!

We can fix wifi circle heists with C4 and SAWS! Not only would that be more exciting but the potential for future heists is through the roof! Maybe even literally! -

The WhistlerThe reason I enjoyed running C4 and SAWS in Payday 2 is to push objectives for when others don't. Some heists would greatly benefit from those tools. I also felt like I was beneficial to the team. C4 and SAWS gave me purpose, lol.
*SAW open container locks on 99 boxes
*C4 Gold & Sharke, Houston Breakout, Rock the Cradle wifi and drill doors
*SAW open the undercarriage and locks in Road Rage
*Blast the floor open and saw the safety deposit boxes in No Rest
*C4 the doors in Touch the Sky, bring Mason in to scan and done. No more baby sitting to make sure folk don't trade him or cops can't save him.
*C4 QR doors, especially heists like Under the Surphaze. Now I'll have time to wait in circles since I don't simultaneously have to find phones to unlock doors. Perhaps we could also use the handsaw to cut open cages the art is locked behind. -

The WhistlerI neeeeeed C4 and SAWS back! I can't help but want to open little safes and ATMs...
Now look at me, using ECMs to open ATMs and ignoring my team in First World Bank to crack all the safes open...DID YOU SEE THAT 4 STACKER! That's not a feature, that's Starbreeze sending a message. 🤣
I counted 12 little safes, maybe one more or less but what I do know is that now I need C4 more than ever! AAAHHHHHH!
Maybe we could even use C4 to disable some elevator SWAT spawns or have a couple preset areas of the map we could blow up to create a new route or close one off? I thought of this after seeing some complaints about spawns in Fear and Greed. -

The WhistlerAdding these tools could give players the option to skip these segments or at least speed them up. They don't even have to remove the wifi circles if they give us more tools and add abilities to current equipment to get around them.
Just to be clear, I don't want them to change heists to REQUIRE C4 and SAWS, but having more options to tackle situations would encourage players to bring a little bit of this and that to the 'table'. I feel that would create a better team dynamic while also giving players a greater sense of purpose with their build like a 'hero shooter' without the restrictions.
I don't want to magically open deposit boxes with skill perks and hammering ATMs like I'm trying to get a buck for my next fix doesn't make me feel like a heister, a professional one at least. It's perfectly fine if some people do, the skill won't be overlooked as it'll still be a good option for stealth or if you don't want to take up a primary or secondary slot with the SAW.
