Bring back the pre-planning drawing screen from pd2 as it would really help with bigger maps like under the surphaze

Anthow MergedIn my opinion it was a huge part of the fun in Payday 2, especially for stealth heisting, i was hoping to see some in the beta but only found the bags that have to be bought beforehand. I don't know if there is already preplan in the full game but if not it should really come back.

Andry MergedA fun part of the big heists in Payday 2 was the Pre-Planning. They allowed for different routing and extra bonuses during the mission, and could probably synergize well with the open ended-ness of the new heists to come.

Rick MergedI suggest adding a voting feature pre-heist so players can plan accordingly. Allow players to vote whether they want to stealth mission or "shoot 'em up". Reduce smaller heists to 3 players while larger, more sophisticated heists require 5 to avoid the obvious tie issue. You could also incorporate an EXP bonus if the mission is a success in the manner in which the team voted.

smelY MergedI didn't pay too much attention to this on payday 2 but it was pretty useful when you didnt know the heist to have the blue print and the bags positioning. I know this was a payday 2 thing cause of the layer randomizer but it could work well to just have a blue print on the menu before the heist

Now it's just a vertical list with few favors you can pick. It doesn't feel immersive nor pleasant.

DomVirus MergedPre-planning made a lot of PD2 heists very immersive. You could plan your entry and scope out points of interest. The biggest plus was, of course, calling in favors ranging from simple ammo/health/grenades etc. drops to changes that affected how you pull off the entire heist. The current assets, very similar to early PD2, is not enough. The method of obtaining mission specific favors is also flawed, as do most mechanics that involve dice rolling (or as some call it RNG). It's just another weak thing about PD3 that adds up to all the other ones and create a massive problem. Hope this suggestion helps.

Martin MergedPayday 2 had a feeling like actually planning a heist, having blueprints, being able to draw on them, or see objective placement, or asset locations. A few tweaks with all of the current heists and adding preplanning back could give a different feeling than right now.

TouchMyBackEnd MergedInteractable blueprints of the heist you’re entering to know potentially where to find resources as well as where heist favours will be stored. Could also go towards making it clearer as to whether a heist will be stealth or loud when playing with randoms

Centi MergedPayday 2 had Pre-planning, which was a lot of fun, and helped us plan out our heist better, picking and choosing every detail was great and it did a lot to help the game feel like a heist game. Why was the system cut in Payday 3 to be this RNG-fest and/or expensive as hell insanity? I understand locking some of the more powerful favors behind something like this, but having pretty much no choices by default? The game needs an ACTUAL pre-planning system, like in PD2. I understand that you want to make a new game, but you don't have to throw everything that worked in the original away.

h3mIt would be great if they retroactively added a couple more entrance/escape options for each heist if they add back preplanning, to keep the heists fresh.

What we currently have in the game is extremely underwhelming, some of the least cinematic heists we've had in the entire franchise. Simply because the objectives aren't up to par with anything we have had in pd:th or pd2. -

PersonalMintI agree with this. The current favors in the game can be easily ported over to a pre planning screen. It'll just increase immersion even more, and indicate what's selected.

Right now the favor system is hard to notice as its so simplistic in design and not eye catching. I forget I have like 20 favors for this one map because of how poorly the UI was done for it. -

Rastiganand add a selection to choose if you want to go loud or stealth and make matchmaking accordingly. it sucks to get thrown into a lobby not knowing which build to pick. planning would be a fitting place to put that option

jsSo much emphasis on "realism" yet when you enter a facility in the heist, it's always a run-around, searching for a room or an item that would be in a specific room (e.g., reports). Why aren't the heisters advanced to buy floorplans or do an offline casing before the heist day so that when the heist begins, they know where the fire extinguishing equipment is located, or where the manager's office is? I don't mind if it's randomized, but to not have a pointer on a many-floor building means essentially I'm looking through walk-throughs to know what something looks like or where something might be located.
