[Feedback] Overkill weapon (grenade launcher) feels weak
I feel like the grenades from the grenade launcher should explode on impact as opposed to having a timer like normal grenades, it just feels weaker than it should be and enemies often have plenty of time to move away from the actual explosion

Mizuwari MergedOverkill weapon is probably the ult of another game.

However, it is dropped into a swarm of enemies and also has self-destruct damage.
I've never seen such an unusable ult that only commits suicide.
We can play safely and easily without using Overkill weapon. -

Papa Nurg MergedThe 'Overkill weapon', Grenade Launcher, change it or have another option to have it explode on impact. I couldn't careless if I end up killing myself with it. I rather have it detonate on impact then wait couple seconds. Certainly the reloading animation can be a little faster, just a smidge faster than it is now.

Coxa 1000 MergedI feel as if the grenades shot by the grenade launcher overkill weapon should explode on impact, the weapon seems not not pack the punch it needs to and enemies often have ample time to move away from the blast minimizing damage

Nasvic MergedThe Overkill Weapon, despite being a limited special weapon, feels lackluster in both effectiveness and satisfaction. Against SWAT units, it requires a direct hit or standing within a narrow explosion radius to take them down, and its impact against Bulldozer units is quite low. (I am aware that he is wearing a bomb-resistant suit, but in comparison to the gameplay experience in Payday 2, there is no visual effect like the visor getting blown off). Moreover, its self-damage radius is too wide, and when firing continuously at enemies, there is a risk of getting caught in the explosion and going down. As for the Bata version of the special weapon, Marcom Mamba MGL, it leaves me questioning whether it is worth sacrificing a primary weapon slot to carry it.

Andreas Sebastian ZochIt should be possible to get a closer drop of the overkill weapon. Also i was a bit underwhelmed that i only have two OW to choose from. there is clearly a RPG or a flamethrower missing as an OW. It feels like missed opportunitys and an unfinished feature.

sh1verBy now, all players feel that the grenade launcher is weak, and it's probably unnecessary to explain why at this point. To put it bluntly, it's weak in every aspect.

To add, I feel that Overkill weapons, in general, are literally being avoided by players due to their characteristic of being airdropped from helicopters. This is especially true among veteran players, as they don't see the benefit of running into dangerous open areas just to pick them up.
If I may offer my opinion, is there a reason why weapons are being dropped from helicopters? Is it for realism? Even though bullets automatically enter the magazine when there is an edge buff?
I can painfully empathize with the sentiment of not wanting to abandon the game logic that has already been implemented. How about making the weapons pickable just by touching them without interaction, and allowing players to carry them without dropping them when switching weapons? -

Seranda MerdochExploding on impact only when you hit enemies feels like a balance thing to get you to actually aim your shots in stead of it being a "shoot everywhere but at your feet and win gun"

h3mYeah most experienced players only use the HET-5 for dozers and other than that completely ignore overkill weapons. Overkill weapons should feel like a reward / ultimate ability - or a last resort, that can help you in tough situations. It currently does not achieve that in any way.
