[Feedback] Split Mark/Shout and Ping
Currently I am having issues unintentionally pinging areas for my team when I'm attempting to mark specials or shout at civilians. It would be nice to have the option to use different inputs to ping or mark on K&M.

ColonelCatboi Mergedwhen im marking someone i dont wanna accidentally pull up the command wheel and end up accidentally saying things. not to mention, if i wanted to set my mark/shout to F, as it was in payday 2, then every time i interact i pull up the command wheel :(

Faiz MergedI would like to be able to set ping and radio chat to different keys.
Radio chat is a great feature
If it is possible in the settings, I don't mind going through it

CommanderCH MergedThe reason I'm saying this because I naturally want to mark enemies and shout down civs with F like it used to be in the old games but when overriding the option with the F button, whenever you interact with things, it also brings up the emote wheel so you'll keep shouting around random emotes whenever you interact with stuff that requires the button to be held.

callmesydneyI totally agree but it will probably be an option in the release build anyway

Raisin77Not sure why it was changed from Payday 2, shout and interact were fine together because they would only work while doing specific actions. Meanwhile pinging can happen anytime. While trying to shout at civilians, I am constantly pinging random directions because I am too far away or not looking at them correctly. It's annoying for both me and my team. Having the option to split the two would be great.

KejdurapaI want to be able to keep shouting at civilians like in PD2.
Every time I shout, their tension should be added and a special animation should be added to each bullet sound and they should react to close shots.
These are things from the series and I want to see even more of this in PD3. Must have various horror animation for NPCs.
especially male and female NPCs should have different fears.
Also, like in PD2, interaction and shouting should be defaulted to F.
The ping key should be the choice, just shouting and flagging with F is enough for me.
Ping can be used for additional flagging and tactical moves. -

kayvin twick MergedI love to use the [F] key for shouts, spotting, interacts, reviving allies and tying up hostages like in payday2 and find it very comfortable and convenient. However, since this work, the shout key has a long press to deploy the voice wheel, so if you do not know this and use [F] to integrate interact and shout, it is very annoying every time you do something.
I sincerely hope that this voice wheel will be made independent or that shout will be integrated into interact. -

Andreas Sebastian Zoch MergedCurrently marking enemies and a position on the map can only be assigned together to one key. Often the position symbol gets in the way when aiming at shields and especially snipers. I would like to suggest the possibility of assigning the marking of enemies and the marking of a position on the map to two different keys. In this way, enemies such as snipers can be marked without the position symbol making it difficult to aim at them.

VadagarMy preference for "Interact" and "Mark/Shout" is E, and I change my first gadget/equipment to F instead. E always seemed more comfortable to me as a button I have to press all time.
Now when I hold interact with anything I get the Shout/Emote wheel :( It would be great if we could bind away both the Hold behavior on Shout/Mark and the targeted ping. -

ProxySame on console. When I run at a civilian who hasn't seen me and I'm trying to get them on the ground it just pings them until I'm in their face. The quickest way to stop this is to just run upto them and punch them to the ground instead. But theres a perk for having a greater distance on shouting at civilians, which now only works when completely loud

sylverYES, I want mark and shout on the same button as interact, without it bringing up the command wheel when answering a pager for example

ABlockofIceBit of an old thread but I still support this getting added. Buddy of mine ended up binding shout and interact to the same key since he's used to that system from Payday 2, and you can tell when he's picking up a bunch of loose cash because you just hear the mark sound repeatedly.

h3mthe interact button should be for shouting (if you interact with nothing, near civilians)

tapping the mark button should always only mark enemies.
holding the mark button should bring up a menu of markers you can place to mark a location with a unique symbol or color. -

foxwooshYes, please. At the moment it's very awkward and you have to aim as accurately as possible to call a teammate or to mark a special unit.

thisiskret MergedFor those who want to interact with the same key they use to mark special enemies (like payday 2)
Currently double-binding the two actions to the same key makes hold interactions quite awkward as the user can not look around while holding the key.
In the settings keybinds menu, it would look like this:
Mark / Communication Wheel
Mark
Communication Wheel -
