[Feedback] Offline mode. (remove online requirement)
As it stands, based on what has been said the game requires a constant online connection, which greatly limits the game for many people.
Namely the lack of an offline mode would make the game difficult to play in regions that won't have servers / people who will be far away from a server. Playing anything with high ping is not a good experience, especially a game which can be entirely enjoyed while playing solo.
This also affects people without a stable connection, which involves people playing on-the-go on systems such as the Steam Deck or Asus ROG Ally. Having an offline mode would allow people to play during internet outages or anywhere that does not have a constant connection.

NicoCompletely agreed. My internet isn't the most stable out there, and I've been sent back to the login page mid-heist because of it. It's frustrating, annoying, and doesn't benefit anyone.

Al'ghaleIn the final game, there should at least be a way to make Custom Games. As it stands, not being able to lock lobbies especially when doing Stealth can make player drop-ins a major issue.

nikolaeven for a beta, it's still super heavy on laptops and computers alike, offline would maybe limit the strain on the device so an optional offline would be great

bascioI tried to do heist in stealth. I was hoping that if I quickly clicked ready when I was alone in the lobby, I would play alone. Unfortunately, during the raid players joined and there was always one person who did not want to play stealth, no one agreed to reset the heist, of course.

Cornwatercould not agree more. not only does this limit a big section of a potential player base out of actually playing PD3, it's impossible to coordinate lobbies for stealth. there hasn't been a single heist where someone didn't go loud. I'd love the chance to try the stealth but it doesn't seem like coordination is very easy rn since there's no way to label a stealth lobby either. I just want to try out stealth on my own without randos firing off shots at civies for no reason during casing.

Jeffjordan93I agree that at some point down the road, an offline mode should be added, I understand why it's not available in this Build since you are testing the servers right now and offline/locked lobbies is counter productive to that point, (and obviously lots of these people forgot that point) but eventually it should have this option. Also set up the game so that when the eventuality that the Main servers go offline (ie 10 years from now) Players can setup their own servers like BF4 if they so chose or allow the Peer2peer type servers after that point.

ExNoughtAny way to play this game without internet would be greatly appreciated. I mostly played PD2 solo since I am a stealth player mostly and I have not yet found that feature in the playtest. I hope it is available at release.

ElDalloscan confirm i would like it too, even if it doesn't give us achievements, it's better for long solo stealth session since i can actually pause the game when i play offline on payday 2

All Eye SawIf you consider an online and offline mode, then please in two seperate profiles, you may inherit the online version to offline version. Because if there is a anti cheat system, offline it would't work properly and any exploit can be used or altered the gamefile.

Btw you can play solo, but to disarm the colorpackages you lose loot and it takes time to sneak it out. -

ZyadMi agree, i had tons of fun doing offline heists in solo mode with the Ai teammates in payday 2, but i noticed my ai teammates in payday 3 are weaker, they die more frequent than payday 2 so if offline mod will get its comeback we must make sure that the ai teammates are capable enough for any difficulty

MarkAfter playing the game I have found that not only is offline mode not being a thing annoying for singleplayer since you cant pause the game when alone, but it also is causing gameplay and menu issues, I'm stuck with base-level equipment because of how shit the online reliance is. I really enjoy a lot of the game but the online requirement is literally crippling my ability to play, I want more equipment please. This isn't fun.I am a huge Payday fan

ZeroJust did a loud Shark and gold heist and I literally couldn't complete it because the game kept rubber banding me in the area where I was supposed to get a core objective making the heist incompleteable, I couldn't even pick up cash bags it wouldn't let me interact with anything at all. We need an offline mode.

KarynnWas just about to finish 99 Boxes solo stealth and couldn't throw the last item in the truck. Apparently lost network connectivity and got booted. It also used up my asset (not that it costs that much) but if we're gonna get booted and no progress to what we already accomplished, at least let us keep the assets?

Coffee CakeMy internet was out for a whole week a few months ago and my go-to game was PAYDAY 2. Whenever I play PAYDAY I usually play it alone to take it at my own pace and admire the maps and stuff. I never thought that something as simple as playing offline would be a feature that the playerbase would have to beg for.

VitekMy internet is pretty stable usually but it had its moments, had a run at the nightclub got rubber-banded into a guard on stealth when I was leaving with the crypto wallet that was on overkill after I finally figured out how to get in that last area it was god damned infuriating. I was doing a try of the art gallery on overkill and well love it when I got sent to login cause of my ping. All of those I was playing alone set on invite only.

SEE FOOTAGE STAY NOIDEDAs someone who primarily played PAYDAY 2 offline and got to Infamy II Level 100 with only a handful of online heists, I cannot second this feature enough. Rubberbanding, lagging, and having to matchmake for solo play isn't a very good design decision.

John VaughanLatency should not effect playing a solo game. Honestly the PD2 online system was much better. Online mode to play online. Solo to still play online but..solo. Offline to play with mods. (of which gave the game so much more life). You made so many improvements for solo players in this game but its all fruitless if latency and flat out server issues stops you from playing in the first place.

AquaThis is a must, it's insane that I have to wait for a server to then struggle with lags when all I want to do is play solo.
